January 13th Event "Experience the ultimate

at Brand in Glendale, CA. From the carefully chosen boutiques

Member, Janet Lowder of Restaurant Management Services' UCLA
Student (Jonathan Weiss) who opened the "Hot Concepts"
restaurant at The Americana "Granville Café"
Cypress College's Hotel, Restaurant
and Culinary Arts program in partnership with Roundtable for
Food Professionals will host a Journey Down Route 29 on Tuesday,
March 10, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. This event will be held at the Cypress
College's Hotel, Restaurant and Culinary Arts facility located
on the Anaheim campus. The event will feature food and wine pairings
that showcase California's wine country. Proceeds will benefit
the 2009 Cypress College student hot food competition team. Chef
Jeremy Peters of Cypress College and past RFP Scholarship Recipient
will share with attendees his journey to success, to inspire

TBA To Feature a Tour of a state-of-the-art
food manufacturing facility with "Hot Concept" speaker,
Flavor Director, Philip Barone, who will speak about flavor "concepts"
and the "art" of creating & formulating flavors
for the foodservice industries To Feature the "Iron Student Chef" "hot concept" Cook-off! To include Cypress, Orange Coast, CSLB, Cal Poly's Collins College, L.A. Trade Tech colleges Culinary Students in Preparation of Menu Items w/ "secret" ingredients to be announced. The Food Science & Hospitality Students will provide nutritional & informative information on the Menu Items and be the "host/hostess" to attendees and be in charge of the General Management of the seating & serving of attendees. |
